From Times Square to Teamwork: Why Collaboration Creates Bigger Impact Than Going It Alone

March 28, 20252 min read

The Book. The Billboard. The Bittersweet Moment I’m Celebrating Anyway.

Earlier this week, a book I co-authored launched on a billboard in Times Square.

Yep. That Times Square.

I was supposed to be there, heels on, phone in hand, ready for the glam shots with my incredible co-authors.

But life? She had other plans for me this week. (As she does.)

And honestly? I’m gutted not to be there in person.

But also, kind of weirdly at peace.

Because this book isn’t about me. It’s about us.

Forty-something humans; entrepreneurs, parents, leaders, visionaries, all baring a bit of soul to show what success really looks like behind the scenes. Spoiler alert: it’s not always neat, polished, or Instagram-worthy. It’s messy. Brave. Powerful. And that’s exactly what made it worth doing.

Here’s what this moment really made me realise: As entrepreneurs, we’re rubbish at celebrating ourselves.

We go from one thing to the next. Business, kids, meetings, launches, client drama, dinner on the floor (or UberEats again, let’s be honest) … and we barely blink at what we’ve achieved.

But this moment? This one made me pause.

And what hit me the hardest wasn’t the bright lights of NYC. It was the power of what happens when people come together with a shared purpose.

Why Collaboration Is the Ultimate Growth Hack.

Let’s face it, we all love the “self-made” story, don’t we?

But the truth is, nobody does anything worthwhile completely alone.

The most powerful things in business (and life) happen when we work with others.

And if you want to take that impact even further? That’s where funding, aka grants, come in.

Yes, even for your messy, ambitious, visionary collab.

There are grants designed to fund partnerships, innovation, and community-focused magic. You just need the right plan.

So, here’s your cheeky nudge: If you’ve been doing it all on your own, maybe it’s time to stop.

Get support. Find your people. Map a vision that’s bigger than just you. And let’s talk about how to fund it.

Because you might just be one application away from your own Times Square moment.

Book a call to see what grants you are eligible for. Let’s grow the heck out of your business.
